INNOVATION EXPO September 2015

GNRBA initiated the Southern Rangelands Innovation Expo series, and hosted the first one in September 2015 at Hampton Hill Station Kalgoorlie

Others were then held at

  • Mt Magnet (hosted by the Meekatharra Rangelands Biosecurity Association)
  • Gascoyne Junction (hosted by the Carnarvon Rangelands Biosecurity Association)

Topics included:

  • Market trends for red meat
  • Production systems and alliances for the right animals and the right markets
  • Wild dog control
  • Fencing technology
  • Rangelands Self Herding
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones) and other technologies
  • Including examples from innovative pastoralists.
